At the top of a beautiful brownstone on a wide Brooklyn Heights block, this charming two-bedroom, one-bath home is bright, open, and full of character. The loft-like living and dining space features beamed ceilings, oak floors, a wood-burning fireplace, and ceiling heights reaching approximately 10 feet at their highest point. Natural light comes from multiple exposures, two skylights, and glass doors that open directly onto a 13' x 13' private landscaped terrace. The custom kitchen features a Wolf range, Sub-Zero refrigerator, Miele dishwasher and hood, a large island, and excellent cabinetry and storage. Both bedrooms are well proportioned, with one currently outfitted with built-in loft beds. Additional features include a full-size vented washer and dryer, Mitsubishi split-system air conditioning, steam heat, and exclusive roof rights that transfer with the sale, with the potential to create a dream roof deck. 35 Monroe Street is located in a particularly good pocket of Brooklyn Heights, combining the neighborhood's beautiful residential streets with exceptionally convenient access to transportation, the Promenade, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the surrounding shops and restaurants. This is a top-floor walk-up. Cats are permitted with board approval; dogs are not permitted.
